About the Trio

David Graf brings exceptional skill and originality to his finger-style electric guitar playing and composing. He is joined by Peter Braddock on the drums and Douglas Green on the electric bass. Seasmoke plays jazz, swing, blues, and traditional American songbook tunes. The repertoire includes original compositions as well as selected songs by notable American and international composers and popular artists.

David gigs regularly with Seasmoke, and with numerous artists in the Washington DC and Seacoast New Hampshire areas, including Kent Allyn and Joanne Connolly. He played lead guitar with RoundHouse, winner (2005) of the Maine Blues Fest. Roundhouse represented Maine as semifinalists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN (2006). David also toured with Bill Haley & His Comets, and, while studying at the Longy School of Music in Cambridge Mass, he played regularly at the Harvard Faculty Club. David makes his living restoring tower clocks across New England, including Portsmouth’s North Church on Market Square. He can be found most Tuesdays at the Old Schwamb Mill in Arlington MA, machining and building period picture- and mirror-frames, and demonstrating the antique belt-driven 19th century elliptical lathes and other machining equipment there.

Peter gigs regularly with Seasmoke, and with Maggie’s Farmstand. He was a founder of the eclectic Dead Giveaways. Peter played drums in the For the Birds concert (2016) Portsmouth. Prior to his retirement, Peter was an award-winning video producer. As a youth, Peter took numerous solo long-distance bicycling tours throughout the United States and Canada. This led to the publication of his book on bicycle touring, maintenance, and safety, “How To Choose and Use A Bicycle Without Doing Something Dumb”.

Douglas gigs regularly with Seasmoke, Brown White Green & Dean, Maggie’s Farmstand, and the Taft Road Quartet. He has also played with The Dead Giveaways and with RoundHouse, winner (2005) of the Maine Blues Fest. Roundhouse represented Maine as semifinalists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis TN (2006). Douglas has also played with the Jeannie Daniels Band, Just Right Brass, and For the Birds concert (2016) Portsmouth. Douglas has recently retired as Network Architect for the University of New Hampshire statewide IBEAM fiber network, and now enjoys recording and audio production engineering for the Rice Pudding Podcast, as well as for area musicians.
